$1.8M in grants for health-focused nonprofits in northern New Mexico this year

$425K available to applicants from April 1st – April 30th

Santa Fe, NM – The Community Health Funder Alliance is accepting applications to its third cycle of Community Grants. This year’s cycle is open from April 1st to April 30th. Community Grants are annual, open, competitive grants between $5,000 and $15,000. These grants, totaling $425,000 this year, will be awarded to new and existing community health programs that enhance and strengthen the system of care in northern New Mexico. 

An additional $1,390,000 will be awarded to Health Impact Grantees for the third year of their three- year grant awards. To date, the Alliance has awarded grants to 54 nonprofits through its Community Health and Health Impact programs – a current total investment in health outcomes in northern New Mexico at $3.6 million.

Since 2019, The Community Health Funder Alliance has been instrumental in supporting organizations and New Mexico communities. The Alliance helps further solutions and outcomes through grantmaking and partnerships while promoting health equity. Members currently include Anchorum St. Vincent, CHRISTUS St. Vincent, and the Santa Fe Community Foundation. 

“One of our key goals is to strengthen the system of care that supports our most vulnerable residents, especially as our northern New Mexico communities recover from the effects of the pandemic,” said Lillian Montoya, President & CEO of CHRISTUS St. Vincent. 

The Alliance is committed to our northern New Mexico communities’ and the organizations serving our community members. “In the last two years, this dynamic collaboration between funders and nonprofits has helped reduce barriers in the systems of care, increased sustainability for service providers, and improved outcomes for individuals and families, particularly amidst the pandemic,” said Jerry Jones, Interim President & CEO of Anchorum St. Vincent.  

The funder partners, along with the funded organizations achieve more when we work and learn together. “We’re excited about learning with and from our nonprofit partners and funder colleagues. Our collaboration will allow for greater impact for all the communities we serve,” said Christopher Goett, President & CEO of the Santa Fe Community Foundation. 

Community grant applications will be accepted from April 1, 2022, through April 30, 2022.
